    This course introduces students to the basic principles and applied techniques of character animation. Through lectures, reference studies, and assignments the student will learn how to make characters and objects seemingly come to life through frame-by-frame manipulation. Fundamentals of movement, gesture, timing, and weight will be learned. This is a 2D animation class where drawing will be fundamental to producing the work expected.

  • Animation Capstone I (AM4814)

    STUDENTS WILL CREATE THEIR OWN PERSONAL ANIMATED SHORT FILM IN THIS CLASS AND IN CAPSTONE II.

  • ST: Concept Design Master Class (FCM6A2V)

    Students will learn to explore the visual possibilities of an animated feature, TV series or video game through 2D digital design. World building and character design will be utilized to bring a project’s story to life. This is a 2D drawing and painting course.

  • ST: 2D Animation (FCM6A6V)

    This course introduces students to the basic principles and applied techniques of character animation. Through lectures, reference studies, and assignments the student will learn how to make characters and objects seemingly come to life through frame-by-frame manipulation. Fundamentals of movement, gesture, timing, and weight will be learned. This is a 2D animation class with drawing being the fundamental way in producing the work expected.
